The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., Queen City Metropolitan Chapter’s 2017 Healthy Living Expo

A free, fun and family-friendly event with something for everyone

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., Queen City Metropolitan Chapter will host the 2017 Healthy Living Expo on March 4 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Carole Hoefener Center (610 E. Seventh Street) in Uptown Charlotte.  

The event will feature a full day of exciting, family-friendly activities including a community bike ride sponsored by Charlotte B-Cycle. Additionally, there will be health screenings, physical activities, vendors, exhibitors and a variety of healthy workshops.

The following featured workshops and presentations are currently planned for the expo:

  • Healthy Relationships for High School and College Students
  • Healthy Living for Middle Schoolers
  • Team No Sugar
  • Healthy Nutrition
  • Metabolic Syndrome (Diabetes, Stroke, Cancer)
  • The Red Pump Project’s Cupcakes and Condoms Program

The Healthy Living Expo is designed to be fun for the whole family. Special guests include HUGO from the Charlotte Hornets, local media personalities as well as some great surprises in the works. 

The second annual Healthy Living Expo is open and free to the public. Event partners include Charlotte Housing Authority, Mecklenburg County Health Department, Novant Health, Trinity House CLT, Charlotte B-Cycle and JSW Media Group. To register, visit For general information, visit
