As a licensed therapist, Burston provides professional counseling to those with mental health disorders, addictions and other life challenges. Although Burston is only in her late twenties, her life experiences and educational pursuits to date have more than qualified her to be able to share valuable knowledge, tips and advice on a variety of topics important and essential to other millennials. Born and raised in a small town and single-parent home in North Carolina, Burston was a teenaged single mother and high school dropout. Determined to overcome her own challenges and setbacks, she later completed her adult high school diploma and received a B.S. degree in Human Services and M.A./Ed.S degree in Mental Health Counseling/Education Specialist from Gardner-Webb University. She considers herself a proud “mompreneur” and a down to earth relatable young professional. For more information about Burston, including her full biography, please visit ShamandaBurston.com.
